Президент Южной Кореи Мун Чжэ Ин, в четверг находящийся с визитом в Ватикане, вручил Папе Римскому Франциску приглашение от главы КНДР Ким Чен Ына посетить Северную Корею. Об этом сообщает "Интерфакс" со ссылкой на агентство Ренхап.
Встреча Мун Чжэ Ина и папы проходила за закрытыми дверями, затем глава Южной Кореи отправился на переговоры с госсекретарем Ватикана кардиналом Пьетро Паролином.
Отмечается, что Ким Чен Ын выразил желание пригласить папу в КНДР во время встречи с Мун Чжэ Ином в сентябре. Ни один понтифик еще не посещал Северную Корею.
Вместе с тем в Ватикане заявили, что условием такой поездки может стать расширение демократических свобод в стране, в том числе свободы вероисповедания.
